Island Life Cottages

Stayed for two nights in cottage 9 for our wedding. We were greeted by our friendly host. Checking in was a breeze, and the cabin was small but great, with everything we could possibly need (dishes, stove, pots, pans, TV etc). The only complaint was the shower was pretty small and harder to use for us husky folk (a removable shower head would go a long way there). However, that did not take away from being able to enjoy our experience overall. It took me right back to going to the cottage with my parents as a kid. They even provided a laundry service. Washed, dried and folded with care for $4. After traveling a few days, that was a big blessing for us. Overall, we were very happy with our time at Island Life Cottages. We would definitely come for a stay again.

We stayed there for three nights, great place for the price we paid. Staff was really good, he gave us a free upgrade from single bedroom to two bedroom cottage. Stay includes almost all basic amenities. Just 20 mints from Charlettown as well. Will visit again.

Our family stayed here for a couple of nights. As others have commented, the cottages are a bit worn. However, they were otherwise quite clean and comfy. They have a cozy idyllic charm to them. It was a bit chilly and rainy when we stayed, but the heater served the cabin well and it was able to warm it up relatively quickly. The kitchen was well-equipped. Unfortunately, the pool was closed while we stayed... But as mentioned, it was cool when we stayed, so we likely wouldn't have used it. Our son loved playing with the toys, the slide, and visiting the llamas. It was great to return to after exploring around the island for the day. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

This was a great place. It's rugged, but clean. Walls were a little thin. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The cabin had everything you could need. Bed was very comfortable, even had a heat pump.

I stayed in one of the smaller cottages during my cycling tour around the island. It had everything I needed and more. The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back!

These are budget cottages, set your expectations accordingly. We stayed here for 3 nights. The cottage is dated and worn, but it was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was equipped well enough and I appreciated the gas range and oven! There was a heater and Ac capable of taking off the chill in the morning or chilling to a comfortable level during the heat of the day. I found the beds to be comfortable. The owners were super nice and did everything they could to make our stay a good one. We played a few games of pool on a pretty decent pool table. We made some good memories here. I'm use to camping and roughing it, so this was a big step up, if you are expecting a 5 star hotel then this might not be the place for you. I'd stay here again.

Our family rented 4 cottages over the long weekend (4 nights) and we were so happy we want to rent all their cabins to host our family reunion. The cottages were clean and well equipment with everything you need. The pull out couches were not that comfortable ( but oh well). We had a bomb fire every night and made use of the pool. We didn't have any littles running around but there is a nice play area for children. The owners were absolutely lovely and easy to work with. 4.8/5

Really some of the best customer service I’ve had at a hotel motel or Airbnb. Very friendly very clean places. The pool was excellent, but I highly recommend the fire in the evening. It’s super nice and personal and they set everything up for you are just the cutest. And we are on the waitlist to book the same place for next year. I love this place and will return year after year.
